Each N Series notebook comes with innovative technological developments such as the highly-efficient Super Hybrid Engine (SHE); the built-in Express Gate™ operating system that allows users to access their most commonly-used programs in 8 seconds*; and the SmartLogon facial recognition system that recognizes users’ facial features and logs them on without requiring any manual key input.

With a fast bootup speed of only 8 seconds, the ASUS Express Gate™ offers an optional Linux OS bootup that allows you to enjoy instant access to commonly used functions like accessing the Internet, VoIP, and Web emailing without entering the OS.

Smart Breathing

A unique feature for the N50 model is the introduction of a built-in Air Ionizer. Negative Ions reduce the concentration of pollutants in the air, protect against air born germs and increase the flow of oxegen to the brain.

With the built in Air Ionizer the N50 not only helps clean the air around the user of allergens and germs, but also promotes air-flow and circulation.

In response to the need for greater energy efficiency, ASUS N Series notebooks feature the Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) which consists of the Power4 Gear Hybrid application and the Energy Processing Unit (EPU). Power4 Gear Hybrid facilitates the deployment and usage of power according to the users’ performance requirements, while the EPU accurately detects the users’ power requirements adjusts power accordingly The combined energy saving effects of the SHE results in an extension of battery life of up to 35%*.

All ASUS Notebooks have a modularized design for the mechanical components that enable the goals of easing reuse, recycling and recovery. End users can replace the parts with ease to extend a products lifecycle and decrease waste. The electronic parts on the notebooks can be broken down with ease to enable recycling.
